Yesterday I reported on my weight loss so far but I forgot to include my biggest motivation to help with weight loss and was reminded of it by a Facebook friend – Shanon. The message says

“Congratulations! this gives both psychological support & physical doing it internally & externally with us all. good for you!”

weight loss status facebook And that reminded me that in fact writing on this blog and sharing my updates on my Facebook page were BIG in fact HUGE motivators to help me lose weight and keep me going because it is so very public.

I have started on weight loss programs before and given up but this time knowing I had shared the fact that I was going to lose weight at an event I ran last October (and people I know attended that event so are keeping an eye on me) and I am writing about it on here while sharing my weight loss updates on Facebook meant I just would not quit.

Sometimes we all need motivation to keep going and writing a blog could be one for you – its easy to get started over at blogger or wordpress for free and if you can use a video you can start a Youtube channel too. People are really great at providing encouragement and it will help you with the motivation you need at the very beginning when you just start losing weight.
