I have been thinking about how to continue with my exercise program and looking into how to lose weight using exercise and it seems weight loss and swimming go hand in hand!

My personal trainer has been doing a lot of swimming lately and I have really noticed her change in shape. I use to love swimming to help keep me fit but I have never been able to do the front crawl – only breast stroke.

You gotta love YouTube for getting help on just about anything – I found this video on how to successful swim using front crawl and I am going to watch it several times before going in the water and trying it myself.

It is a shame it didn’t cover breathing because it is how to breath and swim that I have trouble with – I am usually very co-ordinated in exercise but just keep drinking water – maybe once I have my head in the right position that will change.

Swimming is great for weight loss and improving stamina/fitness – I guess everyone knows that already.

I went along to my local pool today to pick up their opening times and unfortunately they no longer offer a morning shift of 6-9am which is a shame. The open pool sessions during the week are all 12-3pm which is perfect for me and my exercise plan.
